What are good Starcraft: Brood War strategies?

please I need some tips on protoss because what ever I do i always loose.

1. i always lose too... my bf is really good and he told me tha he find a ldifferent areas with crystals and mine all of them... he also usually uses the same kind of people. he makes a whole bunch of them and always attacks first.
2. My advice is to search around the internet for different sites on strategies. For example Stacraft university: http://starcraft.strategy-gaming.com/ The more you read and the more you play, the better you'll become, and soon you'll be doing just fine. You must remember that the game is almost 10 years old, and so the online community is quite experienced!
3. Just learn the game, you can do that by : 1. Play more, until you get the hang of it 2. Read strategy articles and advice on the web 3. Make youself a observer in various games, most players are ok with this. If the map is not a UMS obs map, be sure to choose terran so you can lift you base at the begining of the game and kill your scv's to stay out of theyr way. 4. Get in touch with a starcraft community (http://www.starcraft-agora.com/forum/index.php) 5. Watch replays and pay attention to them. A lot of people are playing starcraft for a very long time now so don't expect to get good at it over night ;)
