Starcraft...energy?

As protoss, how do you get energy without using the cheat "the gathering." And how do you know how much energy you have? Thanks.

1. Hell ya starcraft go ZERG XD but ya anyway...Energy, for examply the Dark templar. There energy is shown when you click on the unit, and to you can't charge it. Just wait it charges on its own
2. Sorry to rain on the guy above me, but Dark Templar dont have energy, you meant High Templar :) and yes, you just have to wait for it to recharge. When you select the unit there will be blue numbers under their HP. ex: 250/250HP 134/250 the bottom is the energy.
