Starcraft strategy?

ok, so i play as either protoss or zerg, and i can beat computers easy, but when i play on battle net i always lose. can anyone give me a good protoss or zerg strategy. not including the ling or zealot rush

1. you aren't building fast enough. make sure you have 2 workers per mineral, scout often, use hotkeys, and a constant supply of new troops. worry about strategy after you have the basics down. you aren't going to beat anybody if you are slow no matter what strategy you use. if you ever have mineral reserves over 500, it's a good indication that you are too slow.
2. span hydralisks and fully upgrade their armor attack range and speed, make as many as you can they kill land and air , if your protoss lock the enemy in their base with photon cannons and then build up carriers asap
3. You need to build very fast online, and if your playing team matches, every unit counts. Although it may be tempting to build only photons around your base,it is not advisable. You will need loads of units. For zerg, hydralisks are very good. For protoss, Dragoons are good. It really depends on the situation. in a team match you might combo medics and zealots with an ally. for any race it is important to buiild your starting defense close to your base, if you build it at a chokepoint first, a smart protoss player will just send his zealots right past, and destroy your base. Also, you should never have a load of resources, unless your unit count is maxed out.
