I have a very beat up Starcraft brood wars CD, can I backup my friends by any chance and use it on my pc?

I have a very beat up Starcraft brood wars CD, can I backup my friends by any chance and use it on my pc? I mean I have legal copies, I have the brood wars and starcraft cd, and cases and evrything on my desk, so is there any way to backup my friends? it's too beat up ti run, thats why I need it... we want to play on bnet

1. What do you mean "backup"? If your trying to sell it to them try to fix it a little or make it look neat and they might buy it.
2. Of course you can. If you already own the game, there is nothing wrong with running it from a backup, even if the backup isn't made from your original disk. Just make a copy of your friend's BW cd, it'll work fine.
