How do I get a free working download of Starcraft?

I've heard about torrents, but I have no idea what they are. So can someone explain to me what I do? Also, I know a serial code that "verifies" Starcraft so you can use B.Net and everything, but can I use that if I download a torrent? Thx, please give me a full thing to what I do so I can play. If it comes down to it, I don't really need to play on B.Net also, I already have the starcraft file in my computer (my friend let me download a while ago, but he doesn't play anymore), but it says I still need the CD so can someone tell me how to play it without the CD so i won't have to go through the torrent stuff

1. a torrent is just another fancy word for pirated downloads. www.bittorrent.com and so on. Just find a p2p site like limewire or thepiratebay and search for the desired program...
