is it a bug in starcraft brood war?

i was playing my starcraft broodwar again after a few years and i got the latest patch 1.15 and how come i cant build unlimited units or even reach 200 units, i was bored so i used the protoss dark archon to mind control and for some reason, i couldnt reach 200 units and i just couldnt build anything after a while, any help why?

1. With starcraft, building units, you can always reach 200 but that is the maxinmum unless like you say, you steal them with the Dark Archon that is if your in Broodwar expantion, if you can not do this then yes it is likely a glitch in the game.
2. were you playing online? usually that happens when the map maxes out... meaning that ever one of the players built too many building and units, eventually disabling everyone to stop making anything anymore (not even larvae for zerg!). so yeah, you better watch out in a no-rush matches; you have to build a lot for yourself before everyone uses up the limit.
