starcraft problems?

i cant download maps when i go on starcraft brood war internet why???????

1. Starcraft is old try Warcraft (not world of warcraft). Its still kind of old but it's not that bad. Same company and everything. Maybe thats why it won't download, your comps too new for the old files. ( Final Fantasy 7 is an old game and when I play that it runs slowly so I'm not joking.
2. Reasons. 1) Must be a valid file 2)Must download into your download folder in SC 3) You must NOT OPEN IT (doing so kills the file so you can't play it)

4. Your firewall may be blocking the game. Try disabling your firewall and see if this helps. Be careful though, doing this can allow viri into your computer. Most firewalls have a feature to allow certain programs through it; try finding this option and allowing all .exe files in your Starcraft directory. Another reason: the game may be pirated.
