Starcraft maps?

I just got broowar, and I'm trying to add python as a map I downloaded the .scm file and added it to my maps folder (it wasn't zipped or anything). But if I try custom play, it doesn't show up in the maps list--- Is there anything else I have to do to add in a map?

1. Put it int he download folder. then you navigate to the folder the file is in. Make sure you are in broodwar, if you are playin on single player, when you load starcraft you click on campaign, then click broodwar, click custome map. then navigate to the map and select the map settings which will be Use Map Settings then click ok. ANd youre good.
