In starcraft 2 : Why did the Zerg get so shafted when it came to new units ?

I mean come on, the zerg basically only got 2 new units. The Brood Lords are almost exactly the same as the guardians, and corrupters are very similar to devourers. Roaches and infestors are the only new units that really came out, and infestors are really close to defilers.... Zerglings, Hydras, Mutas, Ultras, are all almost exactly the same as they were, I mean.... it seems like only two new units were brought into play. Overseer's, Queens, Banelings. Protoss got sentries, stalkers, immortals, colossi, void rays, phoenix, and warp prisms, Stalkers are dragoons with blink. and terran got mauraders, reapers, vikings, banshees, thors, hellions, and ravens, plus the "comsat station" was totally overhauled to the orbital command giving MULE's too. Thors are just an upgraded goliath. Hellions are just Firebats on wheels. I mean... this just seems like zerg got screwed. Zerg are weak in starcraft 2! To me, the fact that Zerg seems like they have the least changed is a good thing.

  1. Because, for starters, why would you change a race that already works perfectly and two, lore wise, the zerg haven't needed to change...they already control 3/4 of the galaxy.
  2. Because Zergs are strong with the few units they do have. Being able to "Zerg" is used in practically every kind of video game. I've heard people say "zerg rush" when referring to rushing on Warhammer Online (horrible one month...). They don't need the new units, they're fine the way they were. I suspect that maybe when they get there own campaign they might get some new mechanics though. And the first guy is right about lore. I'm installing it now. I'm about to climax.
