Starcraft RPG

Some good strategies for Starcraft 2?

I love Starcraft, but for over ten years all I've played against is the AI. Starcraft 2's AI gives me a fun challenge (I have a hell of a time with very hard AI) but the AI is very predictable. I'd love some great strategies to keep up with my friends (my friend completely raped me with three reapers) and beat the very hard AI in the late game. I usually play Protoss just because their early game units can take a lot of hits and also dish out the pain. Typically, I start by building 2 probes, 1 pylon, 2 more probes, then a gateway.

  1. Practise
  2. There are many many guides out there on YouTube for starcraft players to get better. It is also useful to watch professional / semi-professional games so you can see how the best players play and learn a lot from them. Look up the channels HuskyStarcraft and HDstarcraft on YouTube. They are the two most popular Starcraft 2 commentators right now, and they have a couple guides out as well. There are different strategies for the specific race you're playing against, specific map, and many other things. A lot of it is a mind game as well. I would recommend watching some Starcraft 2 commentaries as well as practicing a lot in the 1v1 leagues (you'll get placed against people in your skill level so you can slowly work up). But don't worry if you lose a lot. You can also watch replays of the recent games you played. It's always useful to look over a replay of a game you just finished to see what you did wrong and how you can fix that next time (even if you win). --- 1 useful tip though is to always scout so yo can see what the enemy is building and counter it and force them to defend. --- Another useful tip is as long as a terran isn't rushing you with a lot of marines, it's good to skip getting a zealot out and you can get a quick Stalker out to deal with reapers and later game tech.
