How to become great at Starcraft 2?

I just bought Starcraft 2 and I am extremely terrible at the game. I can't even beat the campaign modes on the easy setting. I don't know the units, I don't know the strategy, and I'm almost completely lost. What should I do to become good at the game, should I continue to play in campaign mode? IF I play in campaign mode, will I get to play as the zerg and protoss so I can learn how to use those units too?

1. You get good at Starcraft 2 the same way you get great at anything; practice, practice, and more practice. Try different strategies. Find out what works and what doesn't. If you try something and fail, just think that you've learned what not to do. And when in doubt, practice more.
2. normally for a tactical game ive never played i play through the campaign to get used to the units and controlls, and then i play lots of local skirmishes (like online games) to get used to some strategy, but not allot, then its trial by fire online and be sure to watch what others are doing and always find the fastest most effecient way to do stuff. ive never played starcraft, im looking at buying it though. have fun.

4. Ya You ahh read the book learn the upgrades. Get serious with it. Build much as you can get tons of guys and group different guys together and go to war. Defend your base first. In the back of the book shows you what is suppose to equal what on the other side. And in the book say you are zerg. It tells you how to start the game and what to build where. I know had terrible time in beginning. i just like them little guys fetching minerals and gas they so funny. but now I go in build tons of guys and kill. You have to think violent. and don't be scared you can always start over. just gotta build and go. You kinda sit around you lost already. in most of the games you put your mineral fetchers first usually about 10. Then you can build fast. Then as you get resources build defence units. solders or zerglings or what what have you. Then go from there. but don't get three units and go. cause they will die. think groups of 10 or more. but read the scenario you are on and learn. Best of luck and be well. raynor out lol Dave
