If I buy Starcraft 2 in France but live in US, will it work?

I am visiting in France, and, seeing as Starcraft 2 came out, thought, Why not buy it here? But, I am not sure if it will work on my US computer. Will it?

1. Yes, it will work on your computer. However, you won't be able to play on the North American servers. Instead, you will be forced to play on the European servers (assuming you buy the French version). If you want to be able to play on the North American servers via Battle.net, you will need to buy the North American version.
