Starcraft RPG

Is a GeForce 9500 GT graphics card qualified to handle Starcraft 2 system requirements?

On the Starcraft 2 system requirements it states I need a GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card, I was just curious if this card is better or equal.

  1. The 8800 is better, however you could definitely still play on low settings. By the way, that's the RECOMMENDED not the minimum. The minimum is 8600 GT and the 9500GT is better.
  2. It will work, but u cannot boost it to the highest graphics settings of the game.
  3. that card is NO WHERE NEAR better or equal it is faaaar lesser of a card you would need like a 9800gt, gts 250 or a 4830 to equal that card. You may not be able to play that game otherwise. the 9500gt is 4X's worse to be exact.
  4. He has a quad processor on his computer right now, I have the same computer and the graphics card in it atm is a Nvidia GeForce 9100 and I can play all the games I own on it now without any problem, they actually work better then my fathers gaming computer, I'm sure it's the quad processor that makes it run better, I had someone tell me that my graphics card couldn't handle anything , but it works fine for WoW , CoDMW2 , TF2, any other game I have, and I don't have to run it on the low settings....Sooooo, I think the upgrade he has will work just fine.
