I was wondering if I have pay a monthly fee for starcraft 2?

1. no battlenet is free. (battlenet is the service you use to play Starcraft 1/2 and Diablo 1-3 online, think of it as an Xboxlive without needing to pay)
2. So far all of Blizzard's games that require the battlenet service to play online have been free (I'm not counting World of Warcraft which isn't really battlenet in my opinion...). They are doing a lot of redesigning to their battlenet service for SC2 (and Diablo3 to come later) and have mentioned that likely the service will remain free at least at the basic level. However, I'm speculating that with the heavy redesigning and improving going on there will be an optional 'premium' battlenet service that will likely offer more/better features at a monthly fee or something.
