What is a good way to get netter at Starcraft Brood War?

Sometimes I play with friends on UDP but other than that I have no internet connection. What is a good way to get better so I don't fail as badly? I mean better. I have no internet connection except when I am playing on LAN with friends. I need a way to get better. I am equally bad with Terran and Protoss, and have no understanding of Zerg

1. Well, you need to understand the fundamentals. Make sure you get and maintain a STEADY supply of minerals and gas. Which means, you should look for more places to build Command Centers to maintain resources. Keep your defenses high. Turrets/Spore/Photon Cannons/Bunkers/Lurkers, etc. Try to scout around and see what's around As long as you have these, you assemble a tactic and blast away. Not much to it really. Most of all, practice. If you need to, you can try to give yourself some handicaps to help you out for a while and then move on without them like entering cheats.
