Starcraft Brood War and Windows Vista?

I am trying to play Starcraft Brood War online on Windows Vista. I can get onto battle.net and have the updated patch but when I am joining a game the map itself won't download. Has anyone else encountered this or is there any way I can fix this? Thank you
