Starcraft and Starcraft Brood War updates?

If I have the game starcraft and the starcraft Brood War expansion, do I need the update for starcraft and starcraft Brood War? So both games do i need updates for both, and do i need to install all the updates or just the latest one? Thank you

1. Are you talking about the update patch so that it will get rid of all of the errors in the game? If so... - If you have installed the StarCraft: Brood War, you only need to download and apply the patch listed under "[Expansion]". Go to the website below. Hope that helps. Good luck.
2. If you own both games then you don't need to patch them to play single player campaigns, but you will need the update/ patch if you want to play multiplayer. If I remember correctly, when you choose the multiplayer option the game updates for you
3. if u play multiplayer and battlenet u would have to they download the latest patches for u when u enter battlenet if u play against computer u dont have to u only have to download patches for broodwar if u want to play starcraft original u download the patches for it
4. i would take the latest updates for the one you are going to play the most. but, i took the latest updates for both
