What is a Choke Point in starcraft? (Protoss)?

I play as protoss, could someone please explain to me what a choke point is?

1. The race you play as is irrelevant. A choke point is when access to an area is limited by barriers that are impossible to go through or over. This makes it so that any force has to squeeze through a narrow opening to get to the area. That narrow opening is called a "choke point", get it? One would have expected that you could have figured this out from the phrase "choke point". A point at which forces are choked.
