starcraft 2 game ?

i just herd that they are making starcraft 2 into 3 different games. one for each race i know that. my question is, can u play other races in each game. i no u can play other races in multi player. but what about campaign mode and custom maps? i dont want to get teh terran one if i can only play terran i like protoss also.
