How do I open starcraft without needing a cd?

Yeah how do I open my starcraft original without needing a cd? my system is windows 2000. yes i downloaded starcraft from mininova.org. I have the cd but i keep loosing it. ppl keep saying make virtual images or something like that with alcohol 120%? I saw my friend delete something or replaced it but i couldnt remember what was the name of the folder but it worked, all he did was went into the starcraft folder and delete something or replaced something. some one help?

1. get crack from megagames.com, and replace it to your starcraft folder in your program files.
2. A patch was just recently released that allows you to play without a disk without needing to create a disk image. Just click on Battle.net download the patch and then follow these steps. - Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known types" unchecked under Explorer Folder Options. - If you own only StarCraft, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "StarCraft.mpq". - If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "BroodWar.mpq".
