How to beat a Protoss player who builds massive amounts of photon cannons and turtles inside of their base? I play as terran and normally go marine/marauder/siege tank and maybe thors and I can never seem to beat protoss players who build tons and tons of photon cannons and then go void rays or something. STARCRAFT 2 BETA PLAYERS ONLY: Do you think Protoss is overpowered? From Chrono Boost to Mothership, Protoss is toting some powerful new abilities. Perhaps too powerful. Blizzard happened to make Protoss the new "rush race" and the race with the strongest units. I get stomped so much by zealot rushes and void ray spam. It's weird how 10 void rays beat 30 or so marines.

How do I beat the Protoss? (sc2 beta)? I pretty much exclusively play Terran. When I know I'm playing a toss I go for quick orbital command CC -> fast ghosts and tanks and can stop the first several pushes. But I tend to always lose late game when they get carriers and warp rays and even with EMP and vultures I have a hard time with toss air. Any one know what to do?

Why was the Protoss Mothership edited? I just saw the demo for the upcoming Starcraft 2, and to my amazement i saw this Protoss Mothership with 3 abilities namely the Planet Cracker, Timebomb, and the Back Hole which was supposedly for warping out air units. Then the next day i just found out that the Black Hole ability was removed, and as a result, players can now make more than one mothership as opposed by the earlier demo i saw where a player can only use one mothership at a time. just wonderin' ;-)

I am a noob my apm average is like 40 how and what is the best way to improve my apm i would like to be 100 apm average at the end of this year at least so that when i play sc2 i won't be so horrible, i would eventually like my apm to be like 200-250 in two years but right now i would like to know from any starcraft pro gamer or anybody that is an expert at the game. how many hours a day should i play to get my apm to 200 in atleast two years and what is the best way to practice and increase my apms. also when you experts at sc play the game what hot keys do you use the ones that the game gives you or do you assign hotkeys of your own, thank you for any good advice that you can give to a noob protoss player.

How can you play Terran vs Protoss? I've been playing TvP for a while now to improve my 1v1 skills. But I have a problem. Against Protoss, if I manage to survive the mid-game, in the end-game, P gathers a group of goons and zlots, then recalls with arbitors into my main or expos. I've tried to counter this with a few turrets around my bases, but sometimes the P just uses hallucination to bypass the turrets unharmed. By the time I start sending reinforcements, he's already recalled and cloaked. If I manage to beat back the first waves, he just mass recalls. Solution, anyone? Hm. I don't think marines work in TvP. Usually, I go metal in my TvP games. And rines would NOT stand a chance against upgraded goons and speed zlots. As the pros play it, I go vult+tank+goliath, maybe the occasional vessel+nuke, or against noobs... 2 rax rush. ( Though 2 rax rush has even worked on some pros )
