how do i fix the "invalid starcraft map" error when i try to edit it in xtra editor? i cant open "raccoon city 2" map for starcraft xtra editor and i dont know why i cant open it. i really need to fix it up cuz its really hard and me and my friends cant beat it. this is what it says when i try it. downloaded starcraft brood war maps dont work? ok so i really wanted to play tarpit defence and tank defence and all those type of game sets and so i decided to download them because i had no idea how to create them so i have tried to play the map but it is all in a melee setting so like there arent any triggers and there is fog of war in the levels so im stuck on how i can play the games anytime without these issues

Why can't i see the people downloading the maps in starcraft? the numbers rarely are seen and even if they do they stop somewhere in the middle and aren't accurate. Is there a file that could fix this problem for bnet? The only fix i know is a hack and i don't want a hack.

starcraft 2 from torrent, lazylaunch2 not working? ive downloaded starcraft 2 from a torrent, and tried lazylaunch2 and sc2allin1 cracks and they work on maps where units have been placed on the map, but triggers aren't working, there's no AI, and regular match maps with the AIs have no units or buildings ( u would expect to see ur starting base and scvs) ive even downloaded maps that supposedly have the AI built in, but still nothing. other people are reporting that they can have matches against the AI. if ur a crusader that believes that copyright laws have any significance now or in the future then report my question and jack off while you do. i love blizzard, Ive spent several hundred dollars on their games, and im going to buy this game as well, but i need to practice against the AI before the official release battleships kicks dota's ass i tried to get a beta already

Starcraft maps? I just got broowar, and I'm trying to add python as a map I downloaded the .scm file and added it to my maps folder (it wasn't zipped or anything). But if I try custom play, it doesn't show up in the maps list--- Is there anything else I have to do to add in a map?

Starcraft Problems-Mac? So I'm on macbook pro osx and i keep having starcraft problems. I finally figured out how to get starcraft expansion set to work (weird classics environment crap) but now my Starcraft randomly crashes. I can't open campaign editor (it says because an unexpected error has occurred) and when i try to open certain maps my starcraft crashes and says "The application starcraft quit unexpectedly." This also happens seemingly randomly when i join a game online, and right before the game starts it crashes (same message) I also downloaded starcraft from a CD onto my PC, and it works completely fine. I'm using Starcraft without a CD, i did the copy and paste from archive thing Anyone know the problem? i already tried reinstalling, and i looked around the internet to find a solution. I couldn't, but it turns out this problem happens to other people

Can you get a virus from downloading maps in games? Let's say you're playing strategy games like starcraft or warcraft in which when you join a game, you download the map automatically if the map is not found on your computer. If computer A hosts the game and Computer B joins to download the map. If computer A has a virus, can computer B get infected? I don't think you would, but my friend asked me this b4 and i didn't have a clue, so i'm curios if this is pobble. ;)

Starcraft Idea! will it happen?!? I have had this idea for starcraft and think its one great idea thats a must do! Will they ever make a Version of Starcraft (With expansion) for the Nintendo Ds? i mean think about it the Ds is the perfect thing for starcraft! and the best part would be since the ds has Wi Fi, they can introduce Battle.net to that so people playing starcraft can play against others playing it on the Ds! They probally can make the Gameboy Advance Slot have a use by making the Map editor on it and such or for excess data like saved games and/or downloaded maps and all or what not. So would this happen? Is this not a great idea?

Okay well i Created a map for Starcraft witha Program called SCMDraft, I spent allllll day on it... and its in the Folder where SCMDraft was when i Downloaded it, i extraced the SCMDraft to a new folder, and the map is with it, but HOW DO I GET IT ON STARCRAFT BROODWAR SO I CAN PLAY IT?! In Starcraft, when I am trying to join a multiplayer game, I can't see any of the games most of the time, and when I do join a game (which is rare), I can't download the map that we are playing. And when I actually do get to starting a game, it lags like crazy. Can anyone help?

Starcraft 2 No Content Found? I've just downloaded Starcraft 2 onto my mac and I went into the single player, versus ai mode, but it says no content found where the maps are supposed to be. I am using a guest account because my bro already registered the game on his comp. someone please tell me how to fix the problem Nvm i found out how to fix it. You have to go into your starcraft 2 folder, and then go into the editor. If you have more than one starcraft 2 folder (like me) just look at all of them. You have to make a map. All you have to do is press the save button.

In Starcraft, Why do I keep lagging in battle.net, even when I had 1.5 mbps DSL? I had At&t Yahoo 1.5 mbps dsl, When I try to join a game in starcraft, I keep lagging and not even downloading the maps, but when I host, I don't even lag. World of Warcraft patch takes forever to download? I can't figure out why it does this. I have highspeed internet and a brand new laptop, so it'd not one of those issues. Also, I can't download maps on starcraft and I couldn't download updates for starcraft until my friend did something to tweak the firewall and the norton (I can't say what, I'm incompetant when it comes to computers.) Original Starcraft Patching and Color Problems!! Help!? I just downloaded the digital version of Starcraft (Original) from the Blizzard website 2 days ago. I installed and attempted to go on Battlenet but had to patch first. After the patch it wouldn't let me log on it kept saying I needed to patch and everytime I clicked ok it returned me to the original screen to log on again. It kept doing this so I uninstalled everything, reinstalled and manually patched it (with 1.16.1 or something- its the newest version). Now it's saying that battlenet cannot verify the patch version, reinstall and if it still doesn't work you have a virus or something. I don't have a virus because I have update virus scan/spyware removal and I've already uninstalled and patched it again. WTF am I supposed to do now? I just want to play some use map settings games this weekend before I'm back to work. Also the color is all blocky and messed up all different colors everywhere on the menu screens and once I see water(in game) there are squigly color lines all through the water. It looks like my brand new top of the line computer isn't good enough for a 15 year old game? Lol what do I do? Please Help Me.

Is there a way to delete a files that are left over from computer games? I Recently uninstalled Starcraft and Steam-Half life 2 from my computer and files were left over. on starcraft on multiplayer maps are downloaded to your comp from i guess, the hosts comp. I dont know why Steam files were left over but they were. Also temp internent file also are stuck on my hd's taking up lots of space. i did disk clean up but no dice. i now this becuase i was a able to read this while i was doing a security check -up. anything for starcraft??

Alternative to World Edit for Warcraft 3? Is there any other cool program or mods I can apply to World Editor to make it easier to create maps, or reduce system resource usage, or anything like that? Starcraft's StarEdit had a bunch of alternative downloads to edit maps. NOTE: I want to download a NEW 3rd party program, I do NOT want to change settings/anything like that.

I can't remember this game I played on my old computer...? I want to play this game I played a few years ago and can't remember what the name of it was to download it. It came with my computer and I can't remember if it was a 98 or XP. In the game you were on an alien planet (maybe Mars?) and you were a miner in a ship. You had to go out and collect minerals or crystals so that you could return to your base where you could use them to upgrade your ship. While you were out collecting your resources there were these alien bug like things that you would encounter and have to fight off. I remember that that it was a shareware game cause I played the first level over and over.I know it's not Starcraft cause I've been doing a few searches and that came up. I can't find it. Also it had this fog of war thing where you had to actually explore the area before it showed up on the little map down in one corner..Oh, and I remember in the starting dialog where it gave some of the storyline that the other miners had gone missing. Don't know if that will help any. I hope someone will know what I'm talking about. if you mean Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, then no. It wasn't a civilization game.
